MEETING

Annual Block Party Saturday, September 27^th, 4-9 pm
The whole neighborhood is invited to gather at the Catalpa cul-de-sac (the one nearest Shadow Ridge Park). The kids can show off their talents as they sing their favorite songs with kid karaoke. We’ll also have a bounce house and a special visit from the Flower Mound Fire Dept. with the big ladder Fire Truck (fire helmets for all the kids will be given out).	You bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share, along with your own beverage. The HOA will provide hotdogs, buns, all the condiments, nachos and cheese sauce and all the paper products. Be sure to bring chairs or blankets or anything else you need to get comfortable when you take a break from all the fun.	Volunteers are still needed to complete this event. We are looking for folks to provide tables, awnings, grills and help cook the hot dogs. If you are available to help with this gathering please contact the property manager at 972 874 9541. Come meet and greet your neighbors. Look forward to seeing you there.

HOA ANNUAL MEETING Wednesday, November 5^th, 7-10 pm
The Shadow Ridge South HOA Board of Directors invites you to attend the association’s Annual Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 7:00 at Bluebonnet elementary located on Spinks, around the corner from our neighborhood. A “State of the Association” will be presented to the membership including a financial report for 2003 and projected budget for 2004. Three of our five board members are also	reaching their terms of office and elections will be held to bring the board back to full complement. We encourage that at least one member from each household attend the Annual Meeting. It provides an excellent forum to discuss what is important to you, and find out how you can make a positive difference in what happens in our neighborhood. Please complete the proxy form you will receive as part of your official annual	meeting package and return it to SRSHOA via mail: PO Box 271061, Flower Mound, TX 75027-1061, or fax: (972)874- 9541 before the meeting. If you find yourself able to attend in person your proxy will be returned to you as you sign in at the door. Returning your proxy will ensure that quorum can be established and HOA business can be done.

“Clean out your attics and garages.”

Neighborhood Garage Sale Friday & Saturday, October 10^th-11^th,  8 am – 2pm
The next semi-annual neighborhood garage sale has been scheduled and will be advertised in local newspapers.	Signage will also be placed on our streets and at both neighborhood entrances the week before the sale is to begin.	Rain dates are 10/17-10/18. So clean out your attics and garages.

New Board of Directors Slated
Three of the five 2004 Board of Directors will be elected during the Annual Meeting. In addition to the current nominations slated, we encourage you to accept the candidacy invitation if you are interested in serving on the Board. Completed candidacy	invitations will be accepted anytime prior to the election, including from the floor at the meeting. A candidacy invitation form shall be included in your annual meeting mailing and can be sent to the HOA property manager at: P.O. Box	271061, Flower Mound, Texas 75027-1061, or faxed to: 972 874-9541 anytime up to the day of the annual meeting. Alternatively you can bring the form in person when you attend the meeting and submit before the elections are held.

Halloween Gathering – Just Say Boo
This coming Halloween shall be Shadow Ridge South’s 3^rd Annual Pre-Trick or Treat Night. We’ll gather Friday, October 31^st from 5:00 pm till Trick or Treating begins at the Sumac Cul-De-Sac.	Menu: Buffalo Wings Bubbling Brew (Chili) Hot Dogs/Buns Featuring: Grab bags Haunted House (fun to explore for everyone)	You bring: a side dish to share, your own beverages, chairs or blankets and perhaps a camera for group photos. So come and join your neighbors for good food, fun and great fellowship.
